Article: Newborn Twins Must-Haves I Actually Used (From a Twin Mom of 3)

Newborn Twins Must-Haves I Actually Used (From a Twin Mom of 3)
If you’re expecting twins, you’ve probably already realized there are about a million lists of “must-have” baby products out there. But here’s the truth: When it comes to newborn twins must-haves, you don’t need everything — you need the right things.
As a twin mom (with a toddler already at home 🙃), I quickly figured out which products were actually essential… and which ones just collected dust. So this is my real-life list of twin baby essentials — the things I used every single day during the newborn phase and would 100% buy again.
1. A Bottle Washer That’s a Newborn Twins Must-Have
If you take nothing else from this post… take this one. With twins, the number of bottles, pump parts, and pacifiers you go through daily is honestly shocking. Washing everything by hand is just not sustainable. This is why I consider a bottle washer one of the top newborn twin essentials.
This machine:
- washes
- sterilizes
- dries
All in one.
It was my husband’s responsibility to keep this thing running constantly. He would just reload it every few feeds or pumping sessions. It completely took bottle washing off our to-do list, which as a twin mom… is priceless.
👉 If you’re building a twin baby registry, this is a must.
2. The Best Glider for Newborn Twins (Worth the Splurge)
Nurture& Power Recliner Glider
I knew I’d be spending a lot of time feeding babies… but I didn’t realize it would be 10–12+ hours a day. So I made the decision to invest in a really comfortable chair — and this was hands-down one of my best purchases.
This glider:
- feels like sitting on a pillow
- has a powered recline (game changer)
- is perfect for feeding, rocking, and contact naps
I had a cheaper recliner with my first, and this was a completely different experience.
👉 If you’re looking for the best glider for twins, this is absolutely worth the splurge.
Bonus tip: If you have the space consider getting two rocking chairs. In those first months, middle of the night feedings might be a two person job and your partner needs somewhere comfortable to sit as well. For us, trying to sit up in bed, in the middle of the night gave us both pretty bad back pain. We were lucky to have a second rocking chair from our first daughter, but I don think it is worth the expense if you don’t already have another one in the house.
3. Twin Nursing Pillow for Tandem Breastfeeding Twins
My Brest Friend Twin Nursing Pillow
If you’re planning to breastfeed, this is one of the most important twin mom must-haves. I truly could not have tandem nursed my twins without this pillow. While I also had the Twin Z pillow (and absolutely loved it for other reasons) it did not work at all for nursing for me.
The My Breast Friend Twin Nursing Pillow:
- provides incredible support
- keeps both babies positioned properly
- makes tandem feeding actually doable
And honestly… it was basically attached to my body for 10 months.
Bonus:
- great for contact naps
- comfy for both you and babies
- easy to clean
👉 This is a non-negotiable for tandem breastfeeding twins.
4. Hands-Free Breast Pump for Twin Moms
Elvie Stride Hands-Free Breast Pump
When you have twins, sitting down attached to a wall to pump just isn’t realistic. Even more so unrealistic if you have older children!
This hands-free pump gives you:
- hospital-grade power
- total mobility
- the ability to multitask
I could pump while:
- doing chores
- helping my toddler
- moving around the house
👉 If you’re pumping for twins, this is one of the most important newborn twins must-haves — especially for busy or working moms.
5. A Postpartum Essential You’ll Actually Live In 🤍🖤
And of course, I have to include the product that inspired my entire brand. When I became a mom, I noticed how drawn babies are to black-and-white, high-contrast patterns — because of how their vision develops in those early months. Fast forward to having twins… I was:
- exhausted
- constantly holding babies
- living in pajamas
So I created seesee pjs to be:
- ultra-soft and comfortable for moms
- nursing-friendly
- designed with high-contrast patterns that captivate babies
So while you’re holding them (which is basically always), they’re naturally engaging with what they see 🤍🖤
👉 Cozy for moms. Captivating for babies.
Final Thoughts: What You Actually Need for Newborn Twins
There are so many lists out there about things you need for twins, but in my experience, the best newborn twins must-haves are the ones that:
- save you time
- make feeding easier
- give you back some freedom
- make long days (and nights) more comfortable
If I could go back, these are the exact twin baby essentials I would buy again without hesitation.
And if you’re in the newborn phase right now —you are doing an incredible job, even on the days it feels chaotic 🤍
